MEANING OF THE ASA LOGO

1. The 8 outer chains of the ASA logo represent our 7 Ordinary memberships consisting of the national shipowners and shipping associations from 14 countries and a unified group of Associate membership consisting of stakeholders from any marine related industry. The logo symbolizes the common ASA's aim and desire of all the Members to achieve common prosperity, mutual trust and co-operation in shipping.
2. The circle within the chain symbolizes the globe and also represents closer unity and progress among the Members in the ASA in their common pursuit in shipping throughout the world.
3. The anchor represents the solid foundation of the Asian shipowning industry.
4. The sea-blue colour (Pentone 314 C) of the logo signifies the ASA’s desire to promote and inculcate the freedom of the sea, safety at sea and the protection of the marine environment.
