ASF Counter Piracy Proposal
The ASF Counter Piracy Proposal was recently presented to Working Group 1 of the Contact Group for Piracy off the Coast of Somalia. The purpose of the Proposal is to seek the establishment of a UN Counter Piracy Task Force that would provide protection for merchant ships transiting the high risk area while awaiting root causes of the problem to be duly addressed on land.
